Diener & Diener è uno studio con sede a Basilea e a Berlino. Roger Diener, nato nel 1950, prosegue l'attività iniziata nel 1942 dal padre Marcus Diener. Ha intrapreso collaborazioni con artisti e architetti come Helmut Federle, Gerold Wiederin, Martin Steinmann e Peter Suter. Nel 2002 Roger Diener è stato premiato con la Grande Médaille d'Or dell'accademia di Architettura di Francia. Sin dagli esordi professionali Roger Diener ha intrapreso un'intensa attività didattica. Docente a Losanna dal 1985 al 1989, da allora ha insegnato come visiting professor presso le Università di Harvard, Cambridge, MA e presso le scuole di architettura di Vienna, Amsterdam e Copenaghen. Dal 1999 insegna presso l'ETH Studio Basel, Istituto sulla Città Contemporanea.
