Esamina le principali architetture costruite a difesa di luoghi, porti e città, da Bergamo all’estremità della Dalmazia. / The military architectures built by Venice in the second half of the XVIth century are the result of strategic choices and new building techniques that responded to the growing power of the armies and of fire-arms. The book illustrates how new models of military defence developed through the exchange of different experiences across Europe. It also examines the principal defensive architectures of towns and ports built in an area that spreads from Bergamo to Dalmatia.
