Peter, informato da zia May, si precipita a casa trovando gli agenti investigativi della polizia intorno al cadavere mummificato dell'amica. Sconvolto e distrutto, il ragazzo viene ospitato a casa di Mary Jane, ma quando scorge la figura di Curt Connors di fronte casa sua, si scaglia contro il dottore ritenendolo responsabile di quanto è accaduto.
