Nella sezione sui Tesori dell’arte scacchistica italiana si illustrano compiutamente gli importanti manoscritti, incunaboli e libri a stampa che fecero grande sino a tutto il XVIII secolo la scuola scacchistica italiana. Infine, 76 schede catalogano i libri, i quadri e, soprattutto, le quarantotto serie di scacchi divise, secondo il piano scientifico dell’esposizione, in undici italiane e trentasette rappresentative di quattro continenti.
