Un’ampia introduzione, dedicata all’influsso esercitato nella formazione filosofica di Chouet sia dalla tradizione aristotelica sia dai novatores, contribuisce all’individuazione delle fonti dell’insegnamento di questo maestro. / The courses of J.-R. Chouet, professor at the Academies of Saumur and Geneva, are published here for the first time in complete form. The first volume presents Syntagma logicum and Brevis Introductio ad Metaphysicam; the second presents Syntagma physicum, Tractatus de rebus viuentibus siue animatis and Pneumatologia in compendium redacta. The introduction, indicating the sources of his teaching, highlights the influence of both the Aristotelian tradition and the novatores on his philosophical formation.
