Pedigree 2014, cm.22x30,5, pp.78, ill.bw.col. hardcover. Bunty was a British comic magazine aimed at girls which appeared weekly from 1958 to 2001. Each issue was a mixture of short one-off strips and ongoing serials alongside features and activities designed for young girls. School stories, horses, ballet, and tales of overcoming adversity were popular Bunty staples. Among the regular series, the title character, Bunty - described as 'A Girl Like You' - appeared in her own humorous single page comic strip, Moira Kent featured the trials and triumphs of an aspiring ballerina, and The Four Marys featured a gang of loyal friends at a girls' boarding school. These regular strips, and many more, also appeared in The Bunty Annual, the hardback compilation of strips, stories and features which ran from 1960 until 2009. This 'Best of' compilation brings together a selection of classic Bunty Annual strips and features from across the years.
