Peter, informato da zia May, si precipita a casa trovando gli agenti investigativi della polizia intorno al cadavere mummificato dell'amica. Sconvolto e distrutto, il ragazzo viene ospitato a casa di Mary Jane, ma quando scorge la figura di Curt Connors di fronte casa sua, si scaglia contro il dottore ritenendolo responsabile di quanto è accaduto. In realtà la verità non è poi così lontana. Connors informa Peter di aver generato un organismo autorigenerante unendo il suo DNA geneticamente alterato con quello dell'Uomo Ragno. Peter è furioso ma la conversazione con Connors viene interrotta quando i due si trovano di fronte la mostruosa creatura.. Carnage. --Carnage, pt 5 Peter si trova a dover affrontare il mostruoso clone assassino generato da un campione del suo DNA. Durante il brutale scontro la creatura si "nutre" di due poliziotti assumendo definitivamente l'aspetto del padre di Peter. Risoluto e senza pietà, il nostro eroe riesce a gettare il clone dentro a un inceneritore liberandosi così della aberrazione omicida. Mentre il Dottor Connors si consegna alla polizia, l'assistente Ben Reilly, prima che l'intero laboratorio venga messo sotto sequestro, riesce a sottrattre un campione del diabolico esperimento.
