Abstract: Il volume raccoglie oltre 200 lettere conservate dal Cercle d’Études Jacques et Raïssa Maritain di Kolbsheim, da Romana Severini, figlia di Gino, e dal Mart di Rovereto. Gli scambi epistolari tra il filosofo e il pittore testimoniano la fedeltà di un rapporto coltivato nel corso di quattro decenni e documentano la maturazione professionale di Severini, il pensiero estetico di Maritain, il dibattito sull’arte sacra, le riflessioni sul fascismo e sul mondo contemporaneo. / The volume gathers over 200 letters kept by the Cercle d’Études Jacques et Raïssa Maritain in Kolbsheim, by Romana Severini, Gino’s daughter, and by the Mart Museum in Rovereto. The correspondence between the philosopher and the painter bears witness to the faithfulness of a forty-year-long relationship and provides insight on Severini’s professional maturity, Maritain’s aesthetic thought, the debate on sacred art, their reflections on Fascism and the contemporary world.
