La via di Eleusi: il percorso di elevazione e i gradi dell'iniziazione ai misteri.

Pietro dei Faitinelli, detto il Mugnone, nacque a Lucca nell'ultimo quarto del XIII° secolo, con tutta probabilità tra il 1280 e il 1290. È stato indubbiamente uno dei più interessanti poeti italiani di quel politicamente turbolento, ma culturalmente e letterariamente assai fecondo, periodo a cavallo tra il XIII° e il XIV° secolo. Ebbe una vita intensa e tumultuosa, caratterizzata dall'impegno politico nella parte guelfa e segnata dalla dolorosa esperienza dell'esilio. La sua produzione poetica, di cui ci restano diciassette sonetti e una canzone, molto si distanzia dallo spirito stilnovistico e da quegli accenti prettamente amorosi, anche in chiave mistico-simbolica, che tanto caratterizzarono le opere di molti autori del suo tempo, e ci offre un prezioso spaccato della società toscana basso-medioevale. Nei suoi versi predomina una marcata e pungente satira politica e sociale, derivante principalmente dalla disillusione di un uomo dal carattere forte, veemente e battagliero nei confronti della politica partecipata - alla quale per buona parte della sua esistenza aveva fermamente creduto - e dalle traversie politico-militari in prima persona dall'autore vissute.

What is thought and how to control it to rise to higher levels of consciousness? All the great initiatory schools of the past taught that one must die and be reborn in order to then ascend. But can this ascension be comparable to Philosophical Ecstasy? Great philosophers of antiquity, from Plotinus to Porphyry, spoke to us about the experience of Philosophical Ecstasy as a reunion with the Absolute, with the Supreme End. And what if it also and above all involved a full connection with the Anima Mundi or with the Akashic Records? From Giordano Bruno to Tommaso Campanella, up to Arturo Reghini and Amedeo Rocco Armentano, some authentic Initiates have attempted to answer these questions.

The long history of the European, Mediterranean, and Near Eastern religious experience, since the most remote ages, has been characterized by the presence and diffusion of mystery religions. These were marked by a common order, a general rule, consisting in the fact that all the beliefs of the cult, the foundational myths, the religious practices, and the nature of the teachings and the revelatory message of the Gods, they all had to be reserved, with different ranks, to the initiates, who have become part of an exclusive community of new men. Thus, the initiated were distinguished from the uninitiated, those who could not have access to the Mysteries. The initiated, as such, had to keep a solemn oath and were obliged to make a vow of silence, they could not reveal the secrets, which had to remain unspeakable. Many were the mystery religions, but, historically, the primacy and superiority of Eleusinian Mysteries can be well summarized by a passage offered by Plutarch: «…and all the men whose land he visited, how he met with holy writings and was initiated into all the mysteries, it would take more than one day to enumerate as he did, well and carefully in all details...».
