The texts – the Monade celeste (on astronomy); his commentaries on John Dee’s Monas hieroglyphica and on Sebastiano Serlio’s Books III and IV; a selection of lectures delivered at the Accademia dei Filomati; and his reconstructed library – illustrate the breadth and interconnectedness of a scholar’s thought on the eve of the Scientific Revolution.
